Rosie Tapia abducted and murdered on 8/13/95

Rosie was just 6 years old  that August night in 1995 when she was ripped from her home, raped and murdered by being thrown into the Jordan river in Salt Lake City,UT. Who took her from her bed? That question still has not been answered. Her mom found the window screen out and the blind on the floor that morning. A prisoner sent a letter to a guard about another inmate who told him what happened. This is the letter as printed on a news channel's website:  "The dude told me he was there. She wasn't the right girl he took the wrong girl. The other guy says, ‘We'll take her back.’ The dude says, ‘No we got to get rid of her.’ So they do some f- up s- to this little girl. Throw her in the water and wash away the evidence. There's a lot more to the story”  This letter was written last year and so far nothing has come of it. Rosie and her family deserve justice. http://www.abc4.com/content/news/slc/story/New-clue-may-lead-to-Rosie-Tapias-killer/rWd8-r06j0K6pDfCvFCRsg.cspx  / http://mylifeofcrime.wordpress.com/2007/03/13/rosie-tapia-murder-81395-salt-lake-city-ut-unsolved-murder/

  1. My father was the one who found her body in the river with my dog Shadow. My sister and I went to school with her. I was 8 or 9 and my sister was about her age as they were in the same grade. My father never got over seeing this little girl who he thought was a doll. I remember this vividly even now. I still pray her family finds piece.

    2. Wow, I was coming in to say my next door neighbor found this little girl’s body. I also remember A’s father telling my mum about it & it was clear how shaken he was. I didn’t go to the same school, but this happened right before my birthday. It was such a sad case. I periodically look in hopes of seeing that an arrest was made. I continue to hope her parents will one day have answers. It won’t bring Rosie back, but at least I hope they’re able to see her killer brought to justice.

"Cropsey" Andre Rand

Only one of Rands multiple suspected victims has ever been found. She was Jennifer Schweiger a 12 year old with downs syndrome that he buried at his campsite in the woods near the mental hospital he was janitor at. He  got 25 years to life for her kidnapping and murder.  Here is a list of other possible victims who's bodies have yet to be found:   Alice Pereia, Holly Ann Hughes, Tiahease Tiawanna Jackson & Henry Gafforio. Audrey Lyn Nergenberg, an eighteen-year-old who disappeared in 1977 is also believed to be linked to Rand. Let's help Staten Island police solve these cases and brings these kids home for their families to bury. He spree of terror lasted from at least 1977 to 1987 when he killed Jennifer. At right is a picture of Jennifer, an innocent young life needlessly lost.  http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5625256/the_legend_of_cropsey.html?cat=37

Rhiannon Smith

Rhiannon is just 16 and has been missing from her Winsted/Winchester,CT home that she shared with her grandmother. E mails and chats found on her computer indicate 3 boys named Jake,Nick and Sanji wanted to harm her. She,However stated in her note that they were going to help her run to Canada. Her friend posted on Websleuths that he felt she may have gone to with her father and twin brother somewhere in the south and her brother may be hiding her. This in unlikely as I'm sure even as inept as police were in this case they contacted her dad. Police to a break from looking for her for a week because the lead investigator was on VACATION . Yes you read that correctly vacation. That is inexcusable!! A whitness came forward to say say a girl fitting Rhiannon's description was  sleeping in a dug out at a local ball field. Why did police not go there right away? Police have also made statements they believe she is dead. She said in her note she was in danger.   h...
